  19. We've gone to a great deal of trouble to try to make sure that GRn is as usable
  20. and bug-free as possible,  but we can't guarantee it. Use GRn at your own risk.

  33. Major changes since 1.16e:
  34.  
  35.     GRn now builds itself a path when started from the Workbench. GRn no longer
  36.     must be in the same directory as all the UUCP binaries.
  37.  
  38.     Online Subscriptions. You may now subscribe online. GRn no longer scans the
  39.     entire news spool on startup.
  40.  
  41.     Shell arguments. GRn now accepts all tooltypes as arguments, and many
  42.     can be set by use of environment variables.
  43.  
  44.     NNTP. GRn can now read news via serial based NNTP and Ethernet based NNTP.
  45.  
  46.     DNet support. GRn can now read news via DNet to an NNTP port (this was
  47.     much harder than it sounds).

  49.     All sorts (Sort by Subject, etc.) now work properly and do not "drop"
  50.     articles.

  52.     PUBSCREEN is implemented so you may open GRn on the specified public
  53.     screen.

  55.     More environment variables recognized. If all UUCP/NNTP-related variables
  56.     are defined in the environment, GRn will not try to open a CONFIG file.

  58.     More stable. GRn now handles many more errors properly.
